The inspiration for this business comes from a Father-Daughter team who have lived in the region for almost 25 years.

Ajai Dayal

Has been in the UAE since 1988. He has worked with leading retail and marketing companies, creating concepts, establishing brands, and building distribution networks in the region. Among his many endeavours, he built from scratch two well-known retail concepts in the region:

A fashion watch retail company	A company offering world class home appliances & kitchens

His experience includes among other things, working with fashion brands, home furnishing, office furnishing & stationery, luxury &fashion watches, luggage, photographic & electronic products, paint and publishing.

He joined Devayani in June 2011 and brings to the business his keen understanding of the region and its markets.

Ajai loves gadgets, reading, writing and has an extensive music collection of varied genres, time periods and languages.

Devayani Dayal

Is a trained RAD Ballet Dancer and Fine Arts Honours Graduate from Toronto’s York University in Dance. She was a performer and choreographer shuttling between Dubai, Toronto and New Delhi after which she decided to move toward business. She obtained an MBA from the prestigious Queen’s University in Canada and returned to Dubai to join a leading retail company as Marketing Manager. But the desire to become an entrepreneur pushed her to set up She Moves Company in March 2011. She brings to the business her excitement, energy, and joy de vivre.

Devayani loves music, dance and enjoys an active lifestyle. She loves travelling and driving with loud music; she is a keen writer and enjoys reading books on historic fiction, self-help and astrology.
